I am 57 and am the proud mother of three grown children. My dog Watson travels with me, my son's cat Cheddar prefers to stay at home. Watson and I love beaches, kayakking and paddleboarding. I like swimming and snorkeling, but Watson does not like to get his feet wet :).

Beautiful hidden park
Jacksonville Arboretum & GardensMy dear friend Dr Watson and I enjoyed the park immensely. The trails were well kept and offered viewing stations as well as plant identification. There were several options for trails and the park is obviously concerned about the wildlife there. It was too cold to be concerned about the alligators today, who would consider my friend a tasty snack, but in warmer weather you might also catch a glimpse of a land tortoise.

Peaceful
Carrabelle BeachNice place to spend an afternoon with your best friend. Has picnic tables and restrooms. Small, but peaceful and family friendly.

Only one outdoor table :(
Canopy Road CafeI have eaten here before sans dog, so I know the food is excellent. Unfortunately, because it is such a small place, there is only room for one table outside. Today it was taken by someone else with the dog.
