Just Fine for Fido

Relatively quiet budget spot just off the highway. It was nice to have a continental breakfast included with the stay. Our pup enjoyed the grassy area behind the hotel.

Clean, Comfortable, Quiet

This is one of the nicer Motel 6’s out there. Staff were friendly as usual, and Tux settled in easily to our second floor room. The hotel is right off the highway but the outdoor fountain blocked the noise for us. There is a nice path and grass area just across the street.

Fantastic View

Great spot inside and out. The patio has a lovely distant view of the ocean, plus heaters for the cool season.

Tux was comfortable here. We enjoyed the fish tacos, BBQ burger, and one of their many tasty beers.

Capering in the sand

Tux says: More beach! I wanted to run and run and run, and meet all the other dogs here.

Tux's humans say: We walked down to the beach after brunch and enjoyed a couple hours of walking, running with Tux, and sitting looking out from this splendid little cove. It was high tide, so our view was all waves, sand, and rocky tree-lined vistas. There were a number of other people out walking their dog or sitting with friends on a Thursday afternoon as well.

Laid-back outdoor eating

Tux says: Soooo many plants to smell. Next time, I'll take a nap in the sun.

Tux's humans say: This laid-back local cafe serves variations on eggs on toast or bagels, bean bowls, and sandwiches. Breakfast only goes until 2 PM; after that, sandwiches only. The locally roasted organic drip coffee was good.

There was a lot of outdoor space and water for Tux. We found a spot away from the other pup who was there so our girl stayed calm and undistracted while we ate.

Pup didn't like it

This Motel 6 was clean and basic with very friendly staff. However, our pup was on edge the entire time - there was something about this place she did not like. It could have been our neighbors, but there were also locations on the property she did not want to go. This was unusual behavior for our generally curious go-getter. If we come through here again, we'll try Motel 6 Medford South instead.

Highly recommend!

This dog park is now located at 950 Perozzi Street. It is as described - about 2 acres fenced with poop bags, concrete area for water and doggie pools, and nice seating for humans.

The vibe here was great - welcoming humans and friendly dogs. Everyone paid attention to their pup and made idle conversation with each other at times. Will definitely return if we come through this way again.

Unexpected gem!

Tux says: Everyone said hi to me! And there was lots to sniff near where I sat while my humans ate.

Tux's humans say: We sat outside and enjoyed the friendly ambiance of this mountain community. As with most places we've been through bringfido.com, they brought fresh water and warmly welcomed Tux and us. Tux even got a special bacon treat, with our permission of course! For humans, definitely recommend the pad thai.

Sunny and warm

Tux says: I loved the little walking paths and spots of sunlight all around. Everyone smiled when I talked to them, and they gave me fresh water.

Tux's humans say: We stopped for a casual coffee mid-afternoon and sat outside at their patio tables. The staff were so friendly to Tux and us, and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ended up spending a couple hours here enjoying coffee and tea, and ended with a delicious kale salad before we continued our exploration of Ashland.

Nice outdoor seating

Tux says: All the plants out back delighted my nose. I had a hard time sitting still, but my humans took me on a walk nearby.

Tux's humans say: Access the dog-friendly outdoor seating through the alley behind the book shop + coffeehouse. The coffeehouse is on the second story. We walked Tux through the book shop and upstairs through the restaurant with no issues. Food was good. Coffee was just okay. Service was easy-going and good.

Great dog-friendly service

Tux says: The peanut butter treats were soooo good. And I got so many friendly pets! Plus fresh water.
