Comfortable!
The Volare Ascend Hotel CollectionAwesome value for what you pay (which is modest). Very comfortable rooms, sound blocking windows (needed for being next to freeway), in safe area plus they take fair safety precautions, and front desk people are great too.

Sketchy!
Motel 6 Oceanside CA - MarinaI should have known better... Super sketchy place. Reserved two nights. Spent one night only because we were incredibly tired and would only be there a few hours. We didn't go back even though we paid for two nights, and went to another hotel that was in a safe area, safe parking, and the room was only $30 more. The only positives this place has going for them is the room was renovated that made it feel like less of a dump and Rachel at the front desk who was awesome. She's great! But the sketchiness of the hotel was too much.
