Eat in the grass

The Wharf

Tables for dogs are set in the grass. If it rained recently, don’t bother. Food is your standard deep fried food. Just Average.

Dog Friendly!

Cedar Chest Restaurant and Bar

Great employees who love dogs. Food was really good. Dogs are only allowed on the deck, but it’s a large clean deck. Not many places in Crosslake that fits the bill.

Clean, Great Staff

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bardstown

I felt welcome as soon as we entered the hotel with our luggage and our dog. Super friendly front desk and maintenance staff. The front desk folks were locals which allowed us to get recommendations on dining and activities along with a printout of daily local activities. The foyer is huge with lots of seating, a big screen TV and 24/7 coffee/tea for anyone that might want to relax outside their room to people watch. The staff in general get 5 bones. They always asked if we needed anything and always had a smile on their faces. That goes a long way.

We had a very clean over-sized room with plenty of room to walk around without our dog getting underfoot. The refrigerator wouldn't start and they replaced it in minutes once notified. The room also had along with the bed, a couch, 2 TVs, a microwave, a hair dryer and a coffee maker. The hotel has a large open field for an off-leash area. If you are looking for somewhere else to walk your dog, there is an absolutely huge park with 15+ soccer fields, several football fields and multiple baseball diamonds just a 3 minute drive from the hotel with a walking path around all of it. Perfect for walking your dog.

They have a small indoor pool (no pets allowed here) and a fenced in patio with chairs around a fire pit (pets allowed). The complimentary "continental" breakfast is more than just your basic muffins, juice and coffee. They have that, but also, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties/links and a waffle maker!

This hotel is in the middle of the bourbon trail with Lux Row distillery a block away - while many distilleries are not pet friendly, this one is, along with Heaven Hill distillery. There is a dog friendly brewery & restaurant called Scout & Scholar with a large outdoor patio if beer is more your style. We were going to stay 1 night and ended up staying 3 nights.

Clean

Tru by Hilton Louisville East

Just an average hotel stay. Rooms were very minimal. The 3 employees I met didn’t live in the area and had no idea where visitors might go. They accommodated our dog without issue. Buffet was average.

It's OK

Green Valley Forest Preserve Off-Leash Dog Area

People bring their dogs. let them loose and then forget about them. When their dog starts some trouble, the owner is nowhere to be found. This park is nothing special and could be an issue for your dog if they can't stand up for themselves. I won't be going back here.

Listen Great Music with your Best Friend!

Summer Concert Series

I have been going here for the past 2 years with my 2 year old dog and we sit in the back with a blanket and listen to the music. I eat dinner and drink a beer and she has her water and snacks - and we people watch. Friendly environment and everyone is there for a good time.

Great Venue for Dogs

2018 Summer Concert Series

Last Night's concert was packed but still plenty of room for my lawn chair and my dog's blanket. Great hidden little gem.

Great food and beer

Ballydoyle Irish Pub & Restaurant

Asked for water for my dog. Ordered an unseasoned chicken breast for her. I had the Boxty. 2 other dogs were present. Nice atmosphere. Wait staff a little slow.
