Good location, plenty of potty/play area

Fairfield Inn & Suites Richfield

Stayed here on night with my two dogs on our way to CA from CO. This was the 3rd hotel my dogs and I have stayed in together and it was the best. Reason being it was clean, right off the freeway and there was actually plenty of grass/potty areas. A large enough size in the back to throw a ball. Not fenced in that is but still a good size. Only downside was we were on the second floor and would have been much more convenient on the first floor with 2 dogs.

Good location for a potty break/leg stretch

Love's Travel Stop

Was on our way from CO to CA and stumbled upon this little park when getting gas. Perfect place for them to go potty/stretch their legs for a bit. It was very clean, actually had grass, not dirt or gravel and was stocked with poop bags/trash receptacle. Really decent size and fully fenced too!

Good location for road trips

Hyatt Place St George Convention Center

Stayed here one night on our way out to Colorado from OC, California. The room seemed very clean and everything was in good shape, furniture wise etc. Was a little nervous as this was during Covid outbreaks. We could hear dogs barking every so often but not often enough to be annoying or a deal breaker, most people did seem to have dogs. The location was right off the freeway which was great in between states. Only downside was the dog area - non existent. It was just dirt and dead bushes in the very back of the property. With Utah being pretty hot, somewhere with at least grass would be nice for their paws or at least some kind of shade. The positive is there is a park next to the hotel the front desk informed us of. Decent amount of grass there, you could walk from the hotel but again, with the pavement that hot I would not suggest any pets walk it.

LOVE!!! can't wait to go back with family and my dog again

Beaver Brook Trail

My friend and I went on this hike for the first time with our three dogs. Found it online and thought we would give it a shot as neither of us live in Colorado. We absolutely LOVED IT! Im not a hiker and neither is my dog so I was a little worried about the terrain but it turned out great,. There were a few tough spots over rocks but for the most part I would say difficulty of 2 1/2 out of 5? I did see a few kids and smaller dogs doing the hike. The dogs has a BLAST in the water and the trail was in the shade most of the time which was great. I got there at 7:15 in the morning on a Saturday and the parking lot only had 2 spots open. By the time we left there were hundreds of cars, so glad we went early. There was quite a bit of traffic on the trail, had to "pull over" to let people by. Everyone was wearing masks so that was nice but maybe even going earlier would have been better to avoid it.

Lots of space but nothing super special

Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park

I just moved to the area so Ive been checking out lots of dog parks in Denver. This one was recommended by fellow dog owners so I thought id give it a try. It was just okay. I would definitely go before it gets too hot as there is zero shade and not really any grass, just dirt, sand, gravel and dead bushes. Think its just the time of year as our fave park (cherry creek state park dog park) is similar but they have the creek.
It is great in the sense that its A TON of space for dogs and humans to roam but overall it was just okay. At one point someone told us to not walk any further because there was some "plague" in a certain area? Something with the prairie dogs or something? No idea but we just turned around anyways

Cute location, meh hotel

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Grand Junction Downtown/Historic Main St

Location was nice, fun being able to walk around the little town and pick up food/coffee although the town was pretty quiet due to Covid. There isn't really a doggy potty area but there is a bit of grass outside the bank/parking lot next door.
The downside was cleanliness of hotel. We needed to stay overnight on our way from California to Denver but were a little nervous of cleanliness due to Covid. Even though we sanitized everything when we got there, things seemed a little dingy/dirty like wallpaper in bathrooms and the couch - not sure if it was a sofa sleeper but the amount of stains on it made me cringe. Could have been worse but again due to Covid we were a little on cleanly overdrive.

Unreal!

Cherry Creek State Park Dog Off-Leash Area (DOLA)

I just moved to Denver from southern California and found this park online. I can't even begin to explain how cool it is. Its massive, clean, easy to get to and dogs are in absolute heaven there. I bring my Samoyed who LOVES to play in the creek. We could be there for hours. Cant wait for more adventures here, we are obsessed.
