If only every town had a park like this one!

We’ve traveled from California to Wisconsin and back with our Black Lab and have never found a dog park comparable to this one. Lots of parking, easy access, and plenty of benches and dog water stations. The crowning touch is that it is GRASS! So much nicer than any of the other surface materials commonly used in dog parks. Don’t miss it if you are in Auburn, CA.

Great Choice for Us

Holiday Inn Auburn an IHG Hotel

I spent 3 days at this Holiday Inn with my senior Black Lab. We noted their 40 lb limit, and wrote to see if we could get an exception. (My Lab is a working therapy dog with the bona fides to confirm her history.) We were happily welcomed by the manager and staff. It was a great choice for us. There is a dog potty area with poop bags and easy disposal right outside the first floor ‘dog’ rooms. Our room had plenty of space for a big dog bed and a fridge for those items of her meals that needed to be kept cold. In addition there is a fabulous dog park less than 7 minutes away (Ashley Memorial Dog Park) which we took advantage of early each morning. Hotel provided breakfasts were excellent and we will stay here whenever we visit Auburn.
