Fun Place for You and Fido
The Mad DuckHad dinner with friends on the patio, and they welcomed both our dogs (one small and one medium). The tables are shaded with umbrellas, food is great, and they even brought out a water bowl for the pups. Great place for dinner or drinks if you have your dogs with you.
Nearly Perfect
Woodward Dog ParkThe Dog Park inside of Woodward Park is a fabulous place to take your dog. It has a very large area for the majority of the dogs, in addition to a smaller solo area to acclimate first-timers, and a small dog area. There are benches, chairs, a shade structure, trees on the outskirts for shade, a small kiddie pool, water buckets, hose and faucet, water fountain, pooper-scooper, and toys scattered about. There were lots of dogs in the park, but it didn't feel crowded, plenty of space. There are a few downsides to this park. There is a $5 entrance fee to Woodward Park. If you go before or after the booth hours, you don't have to pay. Or you can park outside the park and walk in, which proves to be a nice pre-exercise for my pup. The grass is pretty patchy, but that isn't too much of a surprise in the Central Valley. Overall, this is our favorite dog park in the Fresno/Clovis area.
Great Location, But Small
Todd Beamer Dog ParkTodd Beamer is in a great location and the majority of the park is really nice. Great areas for kids, families, and dogs on leash. However, the gated Dog Park is very small. We've gone a few times, and there aren't that many dogs there. We've ended up leaving twice because we were the only ones there. If you have a small dog, this is a nice place to go. Medium to large breed dogs will probably find this park to be too tight.
