Hidden gem
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Highland PoughkeepsieThe room was large with 2 queen beds. It was very quiet. This seems to be a newer hotel, probably less than 5 years old. It is in an office type area so you have to drive to get food. They do have a non-hot breakfast with muffins and cereal and that sort of thing. If you want something hot, you will have to drive. It was very quiet inside. Beds are comfortable. My only negative is that there are no luggage carts, so you have to carry everything in and out. For our 5 day trip, that meant a lot of things. They were really nice and set us up in the room next to the door so that the trips were short.

Great hotel for pet owners
Candlewood Suites Pensacola - University Area an IHG HotelWe loved staying here. The room was spacious and well-appointed. Everything was a little step up from a normal hotel room. They have a full kitchen (2 burner stove), dishes, silverware, pots, and pans. You could make a meal here. The bed was comfortable. The shower/tub is big with a high shower head. the desk is long with plenty of space for your laptop. Plenty of outlets as well. It was quieter than most hotels I have stayed at. They have a pet walking area right outside the door. We stayed in room 129 and it was the closet to the door.
The thing that might worry some that I saw is that the neighborhood has seen better days and there were some homeless people in the shopping center next door.
The hotel is reasonably priced so it seems a lot of construction crews stay there so there were guys in the parking lot socializing at night, but it was not loud or intrusive.
I would be really happy to stay there the next time were in that area.
