Just Be Aware
Dog Beach at Pier ParkReally pay attention to the heat of the walks and the sand. The leash policy doesn’t seem to be enforced and there are a few irresponsible owners but that’s anywhere. With the popularity, I would like to see the space expand. The early morning and late evening are definitely the time to go. Mid-day it was too crowded. There were a lot of “yippie” dogs that wouldn’t stop barking and their owners seemed oblivious but it kinda goes with any dog place. Just be aware at all times and it’s a good place to enjoy. The location allows for easy access to a lot of dog friendly restaurants in Pier Park.

Desperate And Pleasantly Surprised
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Panama CityWe came down on a whim and found zeeeero hotels in our price range that were also pet friendly the first night so we ended up in a panic but we found this location and even though it wasn’t in PCB the drive wasn’t too bad to the dog park beach. The friendly staff helped us get checked-in, even though we were an hour early. The room was very clean and modern. The air conditioning works :) which our pup really enjoyed.
Side note: due to Covid-19 the amenities were not available. Daily maid service had been suspended for the health of the staff to lessen risk of exposure. The front desk had containers for “Clean Pens” and “Dirty Pens.“ By all I saw, this establishment was taking extra steps to help keep staff and guests safe.

Always A Must For Us
Finns Island Style Grub & SmoothiesAnytime we are in PCB we have to get some Finn’s fish or shrimp tacos and some of their awesome homemade guacamole. This year is our first time with our pup. We went to the St. Andrew’s location the first night (we usually go to the food truck stop on Thomas Dr.) and we were welcomed with a bowl for the pup :) the last day we went to the food truck spot and enjoyed some live music in the shade. Not as dog friendly as the drinks are not through a soda machine so I couldn’t get ice or water him but we had our own water so not a deal breaker.

Great Deck
Frisky Dolphin Sunset Oyster Bar & GrillWe stopped by for lunch and right away were greeted with a bowl for our pup. Our waitress and the others were so nice to us and our dog. The deck was super chill and the food was delicious. We had the Frisky Baked Oysters as an appetizer (highly recommended!) and we both had the Blackened Redfish Sandwhich. The tots are not greasy and super crisp :)
