Not dog friendly and ignorant of the law

Sovereign Remedies

Stopped by for a drink with my girlfriend and her brother and we had my service dog with us. Doorman asked very nicely if he was a service dog and I confirmed he is, and then we went in and ordered our drinks. After getting our drinks and sitting down at the couch by the bar for a couple minutes, I was approached by three separate employees asking me for "papers" for my service dog. After repeatedly explaining to them that wasn't how it worked and no government certification is needed or even available, the manager came over and asked me to leave! Mind you, the dog was doing his job, laying quietly at my feet the whole time, so there was literally zero reason for him to be such an incredible asshole. I told him we would finish our drinks first and the guy called the police! I encouraged him to do just that. Just about the time we finished our drinks the police showed up and informed the manager that it's illegal to discriminate based on someone having a service dog and he gave us a half-hearted, insincere apology before we left ( I certainly wasn't about to give them any more of our money). Needless to say, violating peoples rights and trying to have customers arrested for nothing doesn't get more than one star. I'm also considering my legal options.
