This is a Must Have when visiting NoLa

Croissant d'Or Patisserie

Croissant d’Or was a big part of my childhood, so when my husband, dog and I were visiting NoLa in March 2024, we HAD to stop by.

Although we didn’t stay to eat on the patio, I waited out front while hubby stood in line to get our golden croissants. There’s nothing better than strolling through the French Quarter on a cool morning while eating their hot ham and cheese croissants (followed by eating a chocolate croissant,of course)

Great staff and location

Hotel Indigo New Orleans French Quarter an IHG Hotel

My husband, dog and I stayed here in March 2024 while I was attending a sewing event at the hotel.

We loved nearly everything about our stay here.
-The staff members were all very friendly and helpful.
-The location is VERY convenient to the French Quarter. The streetcar stops right outside the hotel, but our room was surprisingly quiet. (The corner near the hotel can get very congested, so this may be a problem for shy dogs)
-Hotel food was excellent! (Not all hotel food can be good in tourist areas, but the food here was great, even to me, who grew up in NoLa)
-Our room was fairly small, but it had been block booked through the group I was with. I might book a larger room next time we visit, but this one was totally fine.

Thing to be aware of, when coming to NoLa with a dog:
-The nearest green space to this property, for your dog to potty is a couple blocks down St Charles. If your dog is not traffic trained or afraid of loud noises, this may be an issue. (My Whimsy is used to city life, so after her first walk there, she would happily carry one end of her leash as she trotted to the park) Nonetheless, we felt safe when taking her to “last call” potty breaks at midnight.
-Like I said in the previous paragraph, the streetcar stops right outside the hotel. It can get crowded with people. (Dogs are not allowed on public transport although some drivers will allow it). The loud trolley bell and the busses can scare some dogs. Just know your dog’s triggers.
-Please try to maintain working distance (6’–8’)between your dog and other dogs. We met 2 other dogs who were not so friendly, so just be aware.

All in all, we love this hotel and plan on staying here again on our next visit!
