Loud and Uncomfy

For starters, we had a late night check-in, around 12:30am. We never received dog treats, or anything specific to bringing a dog (which, maybe I misunderstood the expectations). Our room was on the first floor, right next to the elevators and communal bathrooms for the hotel… nonetheless, it was BEYOND loud. I’m not sure if the walls are made of paper, but people were having a conversation and it was vibrating off the walls from 1-2:30am. Also, the front door to our room didn’t feel very secure, it moved a lot, even with a lock and there was no sealing to it - as I could see light shining through all seams. Next up, the bed. Definitely needs replaced, I could feel the shape of all bodies that have slept there for who knows how long. Essentially it was lumpy and hard. I’ll give it to them, the pillows were comfy. Another expectation I had was a dog park behind the hotel. There’s a grassy area, but no fencing to be let off leash. Are there worse places to rest your head on a 16 hours drive up the coast? Yes. However, my expectations seemed relative to the price I paid for this room.
