Great space
Schweitzer Woods Forest PreserveLove bringing my guy here. It's wonderful there is no permit required and it's free. Water is accessible, but dog bags are hit and miss. The space used to be all grass, now there is a large patch of dirt from the dogs. It is probably difficult to maintain, however, it could stand some upkeep. The wooded area is large, and a well worn path the dogs like to run around. I've had great experiences with other owners being attentive to their dogs and minimal fights.
No thanks
Dog Park at White Oaks ParkI brought my dog here once. He is a considered a big dog at 50+ pounds but is a weenie. There were several other large dogs there that were "alpha" dogs. They picked on my dog and the owners didn't do anything about it. I had to put myself between their dog and mine to keep him safe. Irresponsible owners make for a bad experience. The park itself is nice. Having grass rather than woodchips would be ideal.
