In the policy form you sign at check in regarding pets, at the end they include that they have the right to charge you for additional cleaning if necessary (which is understandable)among other things, as well as the compensation of rooms if any neighboring rooms complain about barking. If this hotel truely is pet friendly, I think there should be a specific area of rooms strictly for pets, which there is not.
