The BEST doggie motel in Myrtle Beach!

Darlington Inn

Learned the hard way that most of the “pet friendly“ hotels in Myrtle Beach have a 30 pound weight limit.

That was a huge problem, until I found the Darlington. This place has the absolute kindest staff I have ever met, and a super nice (although a bit older) motel with great rooms, a kitchenette, and nice beds. The place was exceedingly clean, and I would recommend it to anyone who is bringing their furry family member for a beach vacation!

Upon check in, the staff told us that our pup was allowed anywhere that we were, with the exception of the pool (which is fine, nobody likes cleaning dog hair out of a pool). For our pup, this was her first time at a hotel. We brought her crate, and she definitely barked a fair amount while we were out. As much as she barked while we were outside at the pool for the first few hours, there was not one single complaint. This place really does love dogs! (Also want to point out that the Wi-Fi was good enough to support a doggie cam for anybody that likes to keep an eye on their puo from a far, like we do)

A couple of notes, there is not an elevator, but there are only four floors so prepared to do a little bit of walking if you’re staying on the higher levels. For us that was worth it, as the view was spectacular.

The hotel is located a block off the beach, but there is only a parking lot in front of it, so again it has a great view. The location is great, right near lots of restaurants and things to do.

I cannot recommend this place enough, and would give it more stores if I could!
