A bit of everything
The Preserve Dog ParkWe dropped in while visiting Davidson. The 11-1 crowd was friendly and lively. Parking is easy. There is open space, woods, lots of water, and seating. Great stop with our Golden Retriever!
Easy
Key West Dog BeachThe beach is clean and sandy. small shoreline but contained. Roxie loved it. We parked on the street nearby.
Delish
Salute! on the Beachright on the beach. food was fab. had yellowtail snapper and delicious salad. our golden retriever was very welcome and offered water. good park across the street for a stroll.
Great spot
Dog Park at Indian Rocks Beach Nature PreserveThere is no longer a fee to use this park. Shady and sunny areas with benches and plenty of water. Dog shower too!
Not dog friendly
Tailgatez Sports Grill4th of July and staff looked at us like we had two heads when we asked if we could bring our dog on to the patio. Nuf said.
dog friendly
Pipo N Betty's BakeryIt has great coffee, bfast sandwiches and baked goods made on the premises. It is SUPER dog friendly. Bring Fido in or sit out side.
Really good food too
VIP Mexican American CuisineThis restaurant has outdoor seating at tables and the bar but they let us bring Roxie inside to the first table because the others were full! Really good Mexican food and they came around with free shots of tequila to taste. Sports on the TVs and right in IRB.
Perfect surprise
Picasso CafeFood is excellent. Good wine and drink choices. Delightful artsy neighborhood. Our doggy was treated to a biscuit and water bowl with lots of friendly visits.
Really Nice
Tap & Vine at 559Food is very good. We had curry bowl and Peruvian chicken. Good local wine. Our Golden Retriever was treated so well with water bowl, treats, and loving. Highly recommend.
Fab dog beach
Dillon BeachGreat spacious beach with lots of walking and swimming room. $10 to park all day and probably fills up quick on a busy day. Sweet dogs and owners. Took us an hour from Santa Rosa. Beautiful drive and totally worth it.
Weird but small dogs only
Badger ParkMissed that small print. But, found a trail behind the playground that leads to a creek for water play. walked to and fro Healdsburg green. nice outing.
Fresh wood chips!
Villa Chanticleer Dog Parkbig friendly park. thick layer of wood chips for safe clean play. nice twisty drive to get there.
Food not worth it
KC's American KitchenSent back wet meatloaf then could not eat mystery meat cheesesteak. Yes, great location and dogs welcome at outside tables. A local told us it had just changed hands.
Great park right in town
American Legion Park Veterans MemorialBathrooms, tables, shelter, benches. Beautiful Pine Creek is for puppy wading and there is a big grassy area. A nice woodsy trail is in the back. Not fenced.
Good stop for lunch in July
Sidewinders TavernPerfect upstairs outdoor table and water bowl for Roxie. Nice cocktails and pretty good food. Really good bison chili.
Great stroll
Spencer Crest Nature CenterLovely drive to find it and easy parking. We were there in mid-July. Lots of trails with dog on or off leash. Fun ponds. Our Golden Retriever swam in Amelia Pond. Recommended stop.
Beautiful But For The Humans
Swope Park Off Leash Dog ParkGreat space for doggie running! There is a big hill and some shady trees for exploring. Close to the incredible Swope Park. Unfortunately we encountered inattentive owners who did not move to control their non-neutered dogs. We left before we wanted to. We will give it another try next time we are in KC.
Great Swim
Dog IslandOur pup loved the sandy beach and trails. There is full access to a lake for swimming. Bathrooms for people, too. Terrific stop as we drove east on I80.
Fantastic Scenery
Emily Stevens ParkThis level gravel trail has incredible views of the Grand Tetons. Dogs are on and off leash and romp over a couple miles of trail. We passed a chilly pond but our Golden loved the clear water. A nice location near not-so-dog-friendly Jackson. Highly recommend.
