Not always good for fido
Smuggler's LandingWe were trying to find a place to eat with our dog and called Smugglers Landing at about 5:30, as it seemed to be the only dog friendly full restaurant in town. The manager said their patio was usually only open when the ferries are in, but they were slow so he could accommodate us. When we arrived about 15 minutes later, a nice young man brought us menus. Then the manager came down to take our order. He was visibly stressed and said he'd gotten a dining room full of people since we called. We asked if he wanted to take our orders when he had more time, and he said he wasn't going to have more time, we just needed to hurry up. He was very short with us to the point of rudeness. We ordered, but then decided this was not going to be an enjoyable experience and canceled the orders. My husband told him that, while he appreciated his trying to help us, he didn't appreciate the way the man had spoken to him. There was a short, unpleasant exchange of words and we left. So, if the ferry is in and they're staffed for the patio it may be worth trying, but we won't go there again.
