Good Bar-B-Que
Dreamland Bar-B-QueBring Fido succeeds again in helping us find a great place to eat and where our dogs are welcome. The food at Dreamland was delicious and our server was very attentive. She brought us our drinks and took our order and then brought a large bowl of water for the dogos. We will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we are in Tallahassee and recommend you give it a try.
OK in an Emergency
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hot SpringsBooked this for an emergency visit due to the death of a family member. The room was clean but the curtains were not made to close all the way. There shear curtain closed but the other ones were for decoration- thus the lights from the building lite the room at night and the sun shown in- no chance of sleeping in. The whole world is working short and this hotel is no exception. There is one pupper garbage can by the smaller run of grass for puppers - was full the 3 days I was there with the same trash… I would look elsewhere if I was going back for vacation.
Great Exercise
Conservation ParkThis park has multiple trails in length to choose from. Trail markers help those of us directional challenged. Well maintained trails and dog friendly with water fountain and doggy bags available at the beginning.
Primitive Trails
St. Andrews State ParkThis is a beautiful state park. Dogs are not allowed on the beach nor the board walk but that did not deter from our enjoyment. Some of the trails are water logged but this IS Florida, so plan appropriately. We very much enjoyed our time there!
Loved this palace
Finns Island Style Grub & SmoothiesThis is a great place with a relaxed atmosphere! The staff treated us immediately and filed the dog bowl with water. The food was delicious and worth coming back! Love this gem!
Be Present
Al Helms Dog ParkGreat park with 2 areas for large and small breeds. It has toys and tires to play with. As with all parks, not all owners are the same as we arrived there were two dogs already in the park. Their owner seemed attentive and worked to control them
Breakfast with Malachi
Red Bicycle Coffee & CrepesAs we walked in, there were several dogs in line waiting with their coffee lovers for a fresh cup. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff! The coffee was delicious and the Mexi Crape I had was a big enough portion for 2. There was a dog bowl with fresh water at the entrance. We sat on the side ally and enjoyed the weather and sounds of our environment.
Intermediate Class
PetSmart TrainingI am a traveling Nurse with a puppy; Malachi was 6 months old when we started this class. Sean, the instructor, was knowledgeable & encouraging. The space was big enough to safely social distance. I appreciated where the set up was (we did not use the standard cubicle) as this was an intermediate class, this allowed Malachi & I to experience distractions and work to overcome them. We are not perfect, but we share a much wider vocabulary and that was my goal!
🐾🐾Love This Place🐾🐾
Two Rivers Dog ParkThis is a huge park that you can allow your pupper off leash! There is a paved walkway for you to enjoy exercise too. The water fountain is seasonal and many owners bring extra bowls. There are rules and curtsies posted at the entry gait- I have found the majority of people follow them (just like real life LOL). Hope you enjoy as much as Malachi and I have!!
Social Spot
Shelby Dog ParkThis is a good park for a social visit. There are a lot of areas for fur-parents to sit and chat with someone you know or a time to make a new friend. There is a water fountains, but can get territorial - I will bring our own water bottle next time. Nice parking lot with the park entrance in sight but a slight walk. There is a playground for children close by.
Good Food
Double DogsFood was delicious! The patio is small- but there were dog bowls out with water in them. When we went it was crisp out and the heaters were on at just the right temperature!
A Thousand Welcomes
Irish Bred PubAfter a short visit to the capital, we decided it was time for lunch. And lunch with the pup can be challenging at times. however, as we were looking for a local place, we happened to stop right in front of it as it was also pulling up on the site. The foods was delicious, service was great, and they offered o bowl of water for our pupper. I recommend this place for anyone looking to grab a bite with they’re own little pupper.
History Lesson
Arcadia MillWhile the sign to beware of venomous snakes initially had me very concerned - we enjoyed this walk with our 11year old lab & 10 week old boxer without incident. We also learned things about our area that were rather interesting. Worth the drive!
A Boxer’s Life
Southern Oaks InnStaff was professional and curious. when I checked in they let me know where the dog park was and that the dog bed was in the room. They provided a list of dog friendly restaurants and activities. If I return to this city I would stay here again! 🐾💙🐾💙🐾
