Not Dog Friendly

Despite being listed on Bring Fido, this restaurant is not dog friendly. My wife and I came with our dog and just as we were getting to the restaurant, another couple arrived there with their pooch. The wife of the other couple tried to get a table. I could overhear a good part of the conversation and the hostess was fairly rude to the lady. The hostess said they allow service dogs and “dogs that are as well-behaved as service dogs, you know, don’t pee and poop all over the place.” The tone of the hostess was the surprising part and the other lady was visibly taken aback. We immediately turned away and went and had an amazing dinner at Bowman’s Restaurant (1600 River Road). Bowman’s has one of the best salmon dishes my wife has ever eaten!
