Great place on the river
Holiday Inn Express Le Claire Riverfront-Davenport an IHG HotelOnce your reservation is confirmed, call the hotel and make sure you can get a room with a balcony or a patio room. Either one is fantastic. You are right on the Mississippi. So beautiful. Our dog was enthralled watching barges and boats go by, as were we humans. Great staff. Nice breakfast in the morning. Lots of big expanses of grass in the front and back of hotel. Long walk along the river accessible also. Highly recommend.

Good place to stop
La Quinta by Wyndham KearneyVery friendly and helpful staff. Not much grass around for doggie business but enough if you get out and walk a little. A few good restaurants within walking distance. Good size rooms, nice linens, very clean.

Expected more
Hotel ColoradoStaff was great about a dog. No problem there. Little bits of grass around the building for doggie business. Room was tiny and very old. However, close to hot springs spa and short walk to restaurants. Wouldn't stay again.

La Quinta by Wyndham Terre HauteNewer hotel. Very modern. Rooms really nice (I like modern). Everything exceptionally clean. We were on the ground floor by back exit door close to dog walk area so it was perfect. We were also on the side away from the freeway so it was quiet. There is a Cracker Barrel across the parking lot if you love Cracker Barrel. Would recommend the short drive to Piloni's Italian Restaurant for take out. It was fabulous. Hotel does have lots of hot coffee in the morning and a grab and go type breakfast available.

Great place for humans and dogs
Best Western Plus Carousel Inn & SuitesConscientious staff. COVID protocols were excellent. Room super clean. Made sure we had a dog friendly ground floor room by back door for easy access to dog area. There is a dirt road along the field behind the hotel where you can let your dog run away from traffic. Hotel was far enough from freeway that it was quiet. Front desk provided a list of local restaurants. We give two thumbs up for the Dish Room Restaurant. We ordered take out and it was exceptional for such a small town.
