Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

I have stayed in a lot of bad hotels in my life, but this is the worst of all. Upon entering the room, we were immediately confronted with a strong cigarette smell. It was inescapable and we never got to the point where we were used to it and could not longer smell it. It was a constant assault. The cleanliness of the room and property left much to be desired: the floor was sticky, the counters and tables were dirty, there were stray body hairs in the shower, sink, and toilet as well as a used towel from the previous guest. And what wasn’t dirty was barely functional: ripped towels and sheets, a front door that frequently wouldn’t close/lock correctly and made us feel unsafe, walls so incredibly thin that a vibrating phone in an adjacent room woke us up in the middle of the night, a lumpy, uncomfortable bed with a hole in middle, no ability to control the temperature in the room, curtains so thin that the parking lot lights flooded the room all night, a toilet that didn’t flush completely, a tiny cramped shower, and no soap or shampoo provided to us. Outside of the room was a parking lot filled with dog poop, cigarette butts, overflowing trash cans, and lots of unsavory people loitering at all hours of the night. Hotel management should be ashamed of this sorry excuse for a hotel. I highly recommend taking yourself and your dog elsewhere.
