Good location
The Lodge at TiburonConvenient location - 2 short blocks to center of Tiburon. Pretty standard room, clean, updated style. The bed was a little hard, but OK. They had a small, neat grassy area in the back stocked with doggy potty bags.
Beautifully maintained State Park with easy access to the lake
Donner Memorial State ParkEnjoy walking along the shore of the lake on a crushed gravel trail. There are lots of little sandy coves for easy access to the lake for swimming, float toys, kayaks and your dog. There are lots of picnic tables all along the trail/lakeside. Restrooms are also available.
Huge off leash area, well maintained
El Chorro Dog ParkThis is one of the best dog parks I've been to. First of all the large dog area is enormous. It also has some extras like two faucets with short hoses - on of them has a large tub. There are lots of shade trees, benches and even picnic tables. There is also a restroom building at the entrance. One of the previous reviews complained about the wood chips - but this was a huge plus as we visited in the rainy season. Other parks (like Laguna Lake) would've been a mud pit. Our pup was so happy to get out and romp!
Fresh, local ingredients, garden patio
Lily'sFresh eclectic dishes, friendly staff, and your dog is welcome in the cute garden patio out front. We started off with Huckleberry Patrón mojitos, and all of the dishes we ordered were delicious (chicken shwarma poutine, steak with chimichurri sauce, roasted duck breast, beet salad, profiteroles for dessert). They also bring water for your pup. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Mount Shasta.
