Frustrated at first!

Kimpton Overland Hotel - Atlanta Airport an IHG Hotel

We were traveling from Virginia to Pensacola, Florida; therefore, I had made a reservation to stay overnight in Atlanta at the Kimpton. I was very frustrated that when we arrived at 11 pm, after traveling all day with our dog, the hotel stated that they were OVERBOOKED and did not have a room for us. What am I supposed to do at 11:oo at night with a large dog in tow? The desk clerk was apathetic about our situation; however the manager eventually found us a room. He stated that it was not the hotel's fault because I had booked through a 3rd party (BringFido), even though I had booked 2 weeks prior and had a confirmation number. I stated"What's the purpose of a confirmation # and if I had not shown up, they would have charged my card." VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
