Great Park
Camellia City Bark ParkThis park was beautiful and well kept. There were two separate fenced in areas for large and small dogs. The space in the large dog area was very large, complete with water station, benches, obstacle courses, trees and chairs!!
Review
Centennial Dog ParkIf you park in the free, public lot the address mentioned takes you to, you have to walk through the monuments, up a steep hill, cross a fairly busy street, and finish walking up the steepest part of the hill. There were great monuments to see on the way. Once in the enclosed area, my dogs LOVED the space to run and interact with all the other dogs there. Pet owners seemed attentive for the most part. I did not see a lot of people picking up after their dogs as they ran freely. The dog fountain was not operative due to the season so bring water in the cold months. The large hill and loose rocks presented a slight safety concern when the packs chased each other around. Overall, I was really impressed with this park.
Small City Dog Park
Crescent Park Dog RunIt's a little hard to find, tucked away behind the train cars. It was a smaller fenced-in park however, considering the busy downtown, it was nice one was available. People appeared to be diligent about cleaning up after their pets and there was a nice public walking path which ran parallel. The park also had a nice view of large ships docked.
Leashed Beach
Dauphin Island BeachThe signs on this beach say dogs are supposed to be leashed, so off leash at your own risk. The beach front is very wide from the sea grass to the ocean. The beautiful white sand is super clean!! There were few people at the beach on the chilly day we went, so my pooches had a lot of room to romp. This was a wonderful first time beach for my dogs!!
Amazing Photos
Iconic Photoshoot and Insider Tour in Nashville with a ProI received an almost immediate response from Christy, who set me up with photographer Gina during the time I needed. My two pooches and I were grouped up with a bachelorette party ($60 group vs. $300 private tour). Gina met all our needs and was SUPER patient with my two dogs!! I received the pictures next day and they were AMAZING!! It was a great way to capture our time in Nashville!!
Decent Stay
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Goodlettsville - NashvilleThe pet friendly rooms are not carpeted. Overall, the room was decent and clean. The hotel was pretty crowded and noisy from room to room, which alerted my dogs every time a door slammed. Due to COVID, the free breakfast comes in a paper sack with yogurt, orange juice, small clementine, and muffin. If your pooches prefer to do their "business" on grass, there is an area off to the side of the hotel, beyond the parking lot.
Trail Map Needed
Fox Island County ParkMake sure you get a paper trail map at the entrance to the park. Although the trails looked simple at first, once you get further into the woods, the trails become less marked. The signs at the intersections were not clear or missing. It would be easy to get lost. The trails were pretty narrow but not too muddy for the time of year. The on site buildings were all closed due to COVID.
