Dog friendly but not people

We had an emergency in the area and needed a pet-friendly facility. The cost of bringing a pet in that area was Over 100 dollars per pet. Anyway, the pet-friendly rooms at this hotel were in another building undergoing renovations. The musty smell was overwhelming, but I thought air freshener would help. I cleaned mold off the back of the door, washed the filters to the air conditioner that were black, and the rust around carpet outside the bathroom was wet. The night manager was very kind and offered me a rate reduction which I accepted since it was so late and I had already traveled over 3 hours to get there. I needed a late check out which I extended to 1 PM and agreed to the fee of 20.00. When I checked out the rate reduction was 15% not the 50% the night manager agreed to. These rooms offered for pets were far from the rooms in the main building, There was sheetrock at the end of the hall blocking entry to the back building. The doors into the building were only secure in one place. All others were wide open. I felt unsafe, unhealthy, and scammed! Stay somewhere else!
