Very dog friendly, but pricey
Algonquin Resort St Andrews by-the-Sea Autograph CollectionThe hotel is very dog friendly. They even have a greeter dog in the lobby. In our room they even provided dog bowls and a giant dog bed (which our dog didn't use, but it was a nice gesture). This comes at a price with a higher than average pet fee, on top of it already being a pricey establishment.
If you get food there (the breakfast was pretty good), you can be served with your dog in the lounge or the veranda. Get there early as those seats can get filled up. In town, the Gables had a pet friendly patio with pretty good seafood.
The biggest issue I had was noise. It's a very popular hotel, and if your dog is reactive to noise, it might be hard to keep your dog calm. We weren't put next to other dogs, but there's just a lot of shuffling around by other guests and their children.
Pet friendly, not much grass
Hotel Faubourg MontrealWe were put in a room pretty far away from other guests and dogs, so our dog was calm and away from noises. They gave us a tag to put on our door, warning housekeeping that there is a dog in the room. There's very little grass outside the hotel, so if your dog is picky about where to handle the business, you might have to walk a little further away. Otherwise, our stay here was great. It's close to old town, the old port, which were fun walk our dog around, and the Latin Quarter is just a few blocks away with some good restaurants with dog friendly patios.
Great rooms, very pet friendly
Delta Hotels by Marriott Mont Sainte-Anne Resort & Convention CenterWe got a treat bag when we checked in, and there were dog bag dispensers around the grounds. We were put in a room far away from other dogs so there wasn't any noise (although, that could have just been because of the room we got). We had the best stay here.
Dog tolerant, didn't get much sleep
Crowne Plaza Fredericton-Lord Beaverbrook an IHG HotelThey have the idiotic policy that all dogs must be on the first floor. They're not the only hotel to do this, but it's almost always bad. The first floor is generally the most noisy, which will cause one dog to bark, and then another, and so on. If you're a heavy sleeper and your dog doesn't react to noise, maybe you'll be fine.
