Standard Motel 6

First, my complaint: I made a reservation through BringFido and asked for a ground floor room. When I checked in, they told me that they didn't have a ground floor because "people checking in tomorrow" had reserved them (all of them, really?) and since the other people paid in advance, they wouldn't give me one. I'm not "handicapped" but I am older and have a couple small medical issues that make dragging luggage up stairs & taking dogs out at midnight for pottying a bit precarious. Besides which, the stairways are VERY narrow so difficult to navigate with stuff, even if I was 100%.

Everything else was about as expected from a Motel 6. Room was clean & reasonably comfortable, if spartanly furnished. I do appreciate the no extra dog fees and there's never any issues with that. This location was remarkably quiet, even though it is just off the highway with a lot of trucks passing by. Never heard a thing from the room. Decent pottying area in the back - not as nice as some but better than a lot.

Great stay

Stayed overnight with 2 dogs. Room was clean & well appointed (mini-fridge, microwave, coffee machine, etc.) They honored my request for first floor. Nice dog potty area - grassy & large. Quiet & comfortable. Definitely would stay here again next time I'm passing through. (Only negative: they do put a $50 "damage" deposit on your credit card if you're travelling with pets & are supposed to credit it back, less the nightly pet fee. They haven't credited me yet, but it's only been 24 hours.)

Some good, some not so good

The good: roomy room, clean room, lots of grassy dog areas with plentiful poop bag dispensers, reasonable rates, quiet (even with planes flying over); requested & got ground floor room. The not so good: Hard to find (their sign is unlit at night & the driveway very hard to see), rooms are hard to find, too - no signs pointing the way; got a room on the back side as far from the dog areas as was possible; public areas, including dog areas were trashy (lots of cig butts, plus other trash); can't park close to most of the rooms; walkways really narrow so hard to maneuver luggage to room; no fridge (maybe my fault for not checking first though for "pet friendly" I expect a fridge). Overall, it was okay but I will look elsewhere next time I pass through Ogden.

Great basic motel room

Really nice person at check in. My request for ground floor was honored. Room was basic but comfortable. Fridge/microwave/TV all great and WiFi fast & actually easy to log into.

Room had both a desk and a table, which made it crowded, though, & I banged into the bed frame more than once trying to navigate (ouch!). Also, the heater was (as is often the case in older motels) either too cold or too hot.

Small grassy area for the dog, but can walk through a nice neighborhood behind the motel if you need more exercise.
