Great place for quick bite

Wonderful outdoor eating set-up including a few fire pits and a slew of picnic tables apart. Popular spot but seating area is large and tables are widely spaced apart. Can accommodate a multitude of dogs while allowing to sit a bit apart from other dogs if you wish.

Review for the humans: Excellent pub style food with a microbrewery on site as well.

Would not stay again

Room was clean and the shower worked, which was all I was looking for this stay during a hiking trip. My room had a lovely river view. However, I had multiple potential security and safety concerns. First, the dog walking/relief area is completely unlit even only an hour after sunset. No great dog walking options except during daylight hours. Second, the older hotel is a bit lacking with regard to building security and front desk is only sporadically manned. Finally, this hotel's policies & procedures regarding ids and payments left me (and my credit card issuer) extremely uneasy.

Wonderful hike

Beautiful easier & shorter hike for my Russell Terrier.

Wonderful Waterfall Hike

Well defined trail with rocks, stones, and steps. My Russell Terrier appreciated a water break every 30 minutes or so. Hike may be easier for taller dogs - there were 2 or 3 steps that were so high I had to pick him up. He made it to the top like a trooper.
Practical advice: I’d make sure to wear waterproof boots as the trail can get extremely muddy & deep puddled especially after recent rains. This is a very popular hike (the view is worth very much worth the trek) with lots of other dogs. The last .1/.2 miles is very narrow with steep inclines on either side that allow few places where you can step to the side to allow other dogs to pass less closely - for the rest of the trail, it was very easy to step to a side and to allow dogs to pass less closely ( I am still working on non-reaction training).
The details: 4.61 miles round trip with 1,000 feet altitude gain

Wonderful quick hike to top of the falls

Short hike - less than a mile round trip. Excellent option for a quick break to stretch your legs or get a bit of fresh air. Beautiful falls especially during the spring thaw.

The entrance is unmarked on Rte 10 (however Google Maps and the ilk) will navigate you directly to the side of the road parking area on the Rte 10 south side. Entrance is on Rte 10 north side of the road. Read http://www.nhfamilyhikes.com/hikes.php?hike=Pulpit%20Falls&from=HBN-P for trail directions.

Lovely, short hike

Well marked trail in or near the Tully Lake reserve and campground. Trails are well marked and excellently maintained. Beautiful views and ample parking in the various lots.

Not the safest I’ve felt

Fine as a road trip stop (though not that close to the highway). Missing some basic room amenities (hair dryer, iron, etc). Lots of restaurants near by. Fantastic water pressure. Reasonable price but just didn’t feel particularly safe - and I’ve stayed in more than my share of dog friendly highway motels.

Great food and outdoor space

Fantastic spot for a farm fresh breakfast or lunch or to take baked goods to go.
Nice big outdoor space with picnic tables.

Lovely rustic room

Located in the Lake Sunapee region. Large, clean room recently refreshed. Table & seating for 5 if you opt for take-out. Dog-friendly pub located across the parking lot as well. Equipped with an indoor pool, gigantic rec room, and a game room for families staying here. Large green areas to walk your dog. My pet friendly room at least was at the end of a hallway - minimal traffic past the door is always appreciated. The clerk during my stay couldn’t have been nicer. The 2 MINOR negatives are: no dresser so stays more than 1 night may be less easy to manage and the area itself has nominal cell service ( I only had 1 bar on my personal & work phones on different major carriers).

A dog, a porch, & a fire pit

Fantastic Irish pub!
Dog review: Brought out a water bowl with ice at the same time as my menu. Friendly, laid back staff and very welcoming to the dog (& me).
People review: Quality pub food and a length assortment of beers and hard ciders on tap as well as bottled/canned. Lovely atmosphere and friendly vibe to the place. Fire pit felt nice on a cool autumn evening. Conveniently located across the parking lot from our dog friendly hotel.

Great Stopover for Road Trips w the Dogs

I used to stop wherever I got tired on road trips up & down the east coast. This Quality Inn has become a fixed stop on my trips now. Clean, simple rooms. Easy on & off highway but highway noise dampened by a wall of trees. A large area for the dogs to walk in. Extremely courteous staff especially late, late night and always happy to see my dogs. Outdoor dog motif garden decor is a nice touch. High value and higher convenience.

Come for the hikes and paws for the views

Awesome variety of trails both in views and difficulties. Spent a lovely long weekend hiking and just relaxing on a blanket. If you are going trek some of the more woodsy, less travelled trails, do not forget the tick protection for your dog or the bug spray for you. All trails extremely well blazed and marked.

There’s Economy And Then There’s Here

I understand you get what you pay for but this wasn’t even worth that. No hot water — lukewarm at best. Heater blows cool air even when set to maximum heat. Hair dryer does not work b/c it trips the fuse in the plug.

Nice, CLEAN hotel with easy access to highway and attached restaurant.

One of the nicer hotels at which I have stayed with the dogs. Nice, clean rooms. Interior hallways. Attached pizza restaurant that also serves offers full breakfast menu if you are hungry for more than the included continental breakfast.

Sports

Great spot to enjoy sports on an outdoor big screen and the Florida sunshine. Above average pub fare with a couple of healthier options. Very dog friendly!!
