Friendly staff

First of all, the person at the counter at check in was super friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better ambassador for the hotel. The room was spacious, considering that we had two dogs, that was a nice break from standard hotel rooms where you have to coordinate shifting places; the dogs had a spot to their own where they could curl up and be completely out of the way. Even though we had a 2nd floor room, we were right by the stairs that led out to the dog area.

The downside was that they didn't have the info that we had dogs, but the whole place is dog friendly so it wasn't at all an issue (no room reassignment needed). The pet area was small and not fenced in. A different hotel that we stayed in nearby another night had a huge area that was completely fenced; when no other dogs were around, I was able to let them off-leash and let them run to stretch their legs- the Candlewood Suites dog area was a small patch of grass just off the parking lot, so there was absolutely no chance of letting them run off some energy. Overall, it was clean, a little dated/a little wear, but nothing that gave me second thoughts.
