Great food but little to no shade
Quaker Steak & LubeWe chose this restaurant because it’s right off of I-94 and we needed a dog friendly restaurant. The food is really good but we were there when it was 93° outside. They don’t have any tables outside with umbrellas and there are no awnings off the sides of the buildings. The reason I’m giving it four stars is because the waiter really try to accommodate us. You can’t be in the restaurant with the dog but they let us pull our table halfway into the building so part of the table was in the shade. My elderly mother sat in the shade and I stayed in the sun with my dog. They probably brought a water bowl for my pup. All the sudden we had a huge thunderstorm just as our food arrived. So the waiter turned a blind eye as I inched my puppy into the restaurant to get her out of the pouring down rain.
Sooooo many great treats, pet food, supplies and the best bakery
Two BostonsThis is my Favorite pet store in all of the western Chicago suburbs. For my previous dog I would always purchase her birthday cakes here as well as gorgeous puppy cookies and bake goods. They have the best selection I have found. I recently had a dog breed reveal party for my new puppy and I was able to find a very specific dog bow design which my puppy would actually wear! I buy my raw dog food here, as well as bully sticks that are made in the United States. American made bully sticks can be difficult to find at other stores as well as online. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Any issue that I have needed help with, they have come up with a great solution. Their customer service is exceptional in a time when many stores are cutting staff and services. Bravo to the owners!
