Nice location!

Kimpton Riverplace Hotel an IHG Hotel

We recently stayed at this property with our dog. This was our first time at a Kimpton property. As far as the dog-friendly aspect, it was fairly good, but could use some improvement. We were on the second floor that had access to a courtyard with some nice grass. The one downside is that we didn't seem able to access this space after 10 pm or before 9 am I believe it was. The property also has dog-friendly dining available when the weather is nice. It is also next to a nice waterfront park to take the doggie for walks along. A few aspects of this property that made it a bit less enjoyable than I would have liked is that we more or less had to have our car valet parked, which meant is wasn't super accessible like we are accustomed to when we travel with our dog. And also, you are generally forced to use the elevator since the stairs are designed more for emergency use than general use. And finally, although the room itself was quite lovely and we had a view of the river, there didn't appear to be a microwave for us to use to heat up our dog's food. So although they did generally make us feel welcome with our dog (they even put his name on a blackboard with the other doggie guests), I am not sure we personally would stay here again if we are traveling with our dog. We personally prefer more motel style lodging. If we were not traveling with our dog, however, this is a very nice place to stay!

Good spot to grab some food with your doggie in Kirkland

Hectors

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat dinner with our dog in Kirkland and came across Hectors. We are also vegetarian, so when we saw that they had a dog friendly patio area and some food options for us, we decided to give it a try. Overall, we enjoyed eating there. The food was good, plus we had a table in the shade. I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered a beer. Both of those were really good. The only complaint I would have is that the food is on the expensive side for what it is.

Wonderful spot to grab a bite!

8th Street Ale House

My husband and I found this great spot for grabbing a bite to eat for lunch when traveling through the area. They have a nice patio out back to sit with your dog. The wait staff was very friendly and brought our dog a locally made treat. My husband and I are vegans, so were delighted to find that they offered a Beyond Burger here. It came with a side of house-made chips. The burger and the chips were very both very tasty. We will definitely eat here again if we are out that way again!

Great place to stay in Aberdeen!

Best Western Plus Aberdeen

My husband and I had a good experience with this hotel. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning was quiet. They have a place they let you sit with your dog while you partake in the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself was pretty good and had the usual items one finds at a BW breakfast buffet. The hotel is located a short walk from town and also at the entrance to a walking trail along the Chehalis River. They had some grassy areas on the hotel property for doggie business. My husband and I will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves out this way in the future.

Nice room

Wingate by Wyndham Bellingham Heritage Inn

My husband and I recently stayed here with our dog while we were up in the Bellingham area. The hotel is conveniently located to I-5 and shopping, but it is a bit of an "odd" location in that it is tucked in behind a strip mall. Our room was very nice and just a few steps away from the breakfast room. They have trays in the breakfast room so that you can bring food back to your room. There is a very small amount of outdoor seating if the weather happens to be nice. The breakfast was good, but not great (some sort of potatoes would have been a nice addition). The dog area is close to the building and has ample grass. They had a very nice guide book to the area in the room as well as the ability to borrow a DVD player and movies. Overall, a decent place to stay in Bellingham.

Good food and good beer

Aslan Brewing Company

We recently had dinner here while we were up in Bellingham on their dog-friendly patio (tables have umbrellas in case you would like some shade on a sunny day). The food was very tasty and my husband really enjoyed the beers he tried. He even took home a six-pack. I had a nice craft root beer. A good stop if you are visiting Bellingham.

Friendly staff, good food and coffee

Cedar St. Bistro & Coffee Shop

Stopped here to grab some breakfast as we did not find many places in town that are open for breakfast where you can dine with your dog. Very pleased with our experience.

Good beer

MickDuff's Brewing Company

We stopped in here one evening when we were in Sandpoint. The beer was good. Their patio however does not feature any sort of awning or table umbrellas, so we had to wait until after dinner time when the sun was low in the sky before stopping in. The menu looked worthwhile, so if we are ever in town again, we would love to try to catch a meal here.

Good coffee

Glacier Perks Coffee House

Stopped by this place to get some coffee drinks. Our drinks were very good. They also serve food here as well. We didn't get a chance to sample the any of the dishes, but I did see some plates go by, and the food sure looked good. We will definitely check this place out for a meal if we are ever in Lakeside again.

Delicious food with a view

Beet & Basil

The food here was fantastic! The dog-friendly outdoor tables have a nice view of the lake. I will definitely eat here again the next time I am in Sandpoint!

Good pastries

Cinnamon Twisp Bakery

Stopped here twice while staying at the nearby dog-friendly Twisp River Resort. Really enjoyed the pastries we bought. A must stop in Twisp!

Doggie loved his special treat

Sweet Peaks Ice Cream

Our dog was nuts about the dog ice cream they have at this place. My husband and I had the one non-dairy item on the menu. It was good, but not great. Would definitely go back if we are ever in Kalispell again!

Good food and great beer

Cabinet Mountain Brewing

My husband and I stopped in here on our way to Glacier Park. They have several dog-friendly tables outside. We had lunch and the food was tasty. My husband had their Yaak Attack IPA and he says it was definitely the best beer he sampled on our road trip and he did get to try quite a few local beers along the way. I ordered a house made root beer and it also was very good. Two paws up!

Great spot for coffee

Montana Coffee Traders

I had a really wonderful latte at this coffee shop and they have a couple of outdoor tables where you can sit with your dog if there is a table available (it is a popular spot). I also appreciated that you can get an 8 oz drink here, which was hard to find at other places in the area.

Decent place

Ruby River Hotel

This place has a great location. The attached restaurant has a great view of the river. The hotel itself is convenient to the downtown area. The building feels a little dated and could use some updating though. Our room had a nice patch of grass out back for doggie, which was a plus. The restaurant did allow us to bring our dog to breakfast, but he had to be on the opposite side of the fence and not on the outdoor patio itself. It worked OK, but it would have been much nicer if we could have had our dog by our side for meals on the patio.

Great hotel overall

Best Western Plus Flathead Lake Inn and Suites

This hotel is located several miles away from the main towns of Kalispell and Whitefish, but located near Flathead Lake. The property is well appointed and has a nice grass area for your doggie to take care of business. They also have a covered outdoor seating area where you can have your dog while enjoying the breakfast buffet. That was a major plus as this (breakfast at the hotel) can be a challenge at some other properties. Two paws up!

Good location in Twisp

Twisp River Suites

Twisp River Suites is centrally located in the small town of Twisp. It is within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Twisp. The main hotel has a lovely dog-friendly outdoor patio. The breakfast buffet was pretty nice. While the pet-friendly room we stayed in was cozy, it was on the small side and we felt kind of cramped in there compared to other places we have stayed. The room does come with a DVD player, however, the DVD player in our room was not working, so we were not able to watch a movie from their DVD collection one evening. Overall, however, this is a nice accommodation with very friendly staff if you are looking to stay with your dog in Twisp, WA. They even provide a nice jar of treats in your room for your doggie.
