Could be better

First the positives...good location for us. Clean room but worn down in places. Bed was comfortable. No dog fee. Grass to walk the dog. Now the bad news. There were 4 cars and 2 trucks parked here and they said they had no downstairs rooms available. I do ask for this on my order and although I know they say they can't guarantee requests, I haven't had one hotel booked thru BringFido that has honored my 1st floor request.

I guess they only clean the rooms once a week here and that's why they had no downstairs rooms although there were only a handful of people staying here? Trash was overflowing outside at the entry doors in the back and blowing all over the parking lot. Really disgusting and makes me wonder what else they don't clean. No tissues or hair dryer in the room. The drapes were literally falling off the window. Although the location was great for our travels, I will look for a different hotel next time, even if it costs a little more.

Not bad

I like that it is only 1 floor, which is great with our dog. Front desk was extremely friendly and a very quick check-in. Dog fee was only $15, which isn't bad, especially with this low room rate. Room was clean and bed comfortable. The only negative is that it seems people live here permanently. There was a lot of loud get togethers right outside our room, but luckily it did close down around 9pm. A good location for our travels, but not a lot of restaurants in the area except fast food. I would stay here again as an overnight, as it was convenient with our dog, our travel route and the price was very good.

Great location, good dog rooms

The staff here is always friendly and helpful. We use this hotel as a one night stop over on our travels. The dog rooms have no carpet, which I love. Much cleaner than most due to this. The hotel is a little older and shows some wear but it is clean. There is a small park like setting behind the hotel; great place to walk your dog, even at night. We've stayed here many times and will continue to stay here.

Ok but nothing great

Good points: Front desk staff was very nice checking in and checking out. Location was perfect for an overnight and there was room to park our car hauling a trailer. They waved the pet fee since they didn't have a 1st floor room. Bad points: They wanted to put us on the 2nd floor. It seems that dogs should be on the 1st floor. I asked and was told the only option was a smoking room on the 1st floor, which I ended up taking but wasn't happy about it. They did wave the pet fee due to this, though, which I thought was fair. The rooms really need some work, but the room was clean and no carpeting which I like for dog room. Ok for an an overnight, especially at this price. The price looks low but be aware there are quite a few taxes. Bring ear plugs. Noise from the freeway.

Better than expected

I would have given this 5 bones, but they put us on the 2nd floor and the hotel had an indoor corridor. They claim they had many people stay an extra night, so they didn't have any rooms downstairs. It was a LONG walk from the room to outside. My dog is okay with this, but I feel the hotel should really make an effort to put the dogs on the 1st floor. The room was much bigger than expected. It was very clean and although older was still kept up. It's a little way from the main freeway but not far enough to keep me from staying here again. Office staff was friendly. Price was reasonable. Lots of grass to walk your dog. Quiet area although on a main road and we couldn't hear cars in the room.

Horrible hotel

This place looks okay from the outside but it appears to permanently house homeless and mentally ill people in many of the rooms. The police were called at 4am as 2 people argued outside. One woman was sitting in a car by herself and just cursing like crazy. Another was smoking weed outside the office. Our 1st room smelled like smoke, yet I signed that we would not smoke. Also the TV had been stolen. We requested a new room. Had I not pre-paid and had few choices to bring our dog, we would have left. We did not feel safe here at all. So not choose this hotel. The only person who seemed normal was the young woman who checked us out. I believe I interrupted her calling the police when I walked into office, as there was another event brewing in the parking lot.

Good overnight

The hotel is older and could really use some updates, especially for the price, although I realize this is a touristy area. Nothing special but we needed an overnight with our pup. The front desk was extremely friendly and gave us a room on the 1st floor near the door, which was perfect. The room was clean but just needed updating. I liked that they asked what kind of dog we had just in case he got out of the room and was in the hotel. It was a good overnight location for us. Easy parking, as we had a trailer too. Easy on and off the freeway too not close enough for noise to be an issue.
