Great Vets, Horrible staff!!

Jumper Creek Veterinary Clinic

My 3 dogs have been going to Jumper Creek Veterinary Clinic for more than 2 years. The quality of care there is second to none. All the DVM's are excellent. It is the administrative employees that choose not to do their jobs, that make the office very unpleasant to call or visit. Todays example of this occurred when my dog needed a refill of an arthritis medication. A call today and pick-up tomorrow is how it should have worked. Nope. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get a call through. All the lines at the office were full. Finally, it rang but I was immediately put on hold. I thought they must be terribly busy. After listening to advertisements and recorded advice for 30 minutes, I hung up and redialed, only to be placed on hold again. If I had an animal with an emergency, it would have been the end for it because there was no way to get a word in, ask a question, or make an inquiry. Only hold.
So I got in my truck and drove 20 minutes to the Jumper Creek Vet Clinic office to see what in the world was going on. I expected to see a full parking lot and swarm of people needing help for their pets. But what I saw after arrival was nothing. An empty waiting room. Not a single client or pet in sight. Just two ladies sitting there doing apparently nothing at all, but too busy to do their job and talk on the phone. When someone would call the person would be put on hold then they would go back to doing nothing. They were polite and asked what I wanted. I just replied that I wanted my pets records, because after seeing that, I will never return. I'll go back to using the more distant and much friendlier clinic that my pets used previously, and it will be well worth the drive. It has competent staff.
