There were a few dogs off leash with bad recall but we still had a great time!! Free parking at the nearby park and a short walk through a beautiful area to the beach.

We had a nice walk at the Audubon Newhall Preserve. There are signs that there is a large gator in the pond but luckily we do not encounter it.

We loved Fish Haul Beach. We went at low tide and there was so much open space for the dogs to play. They will get muddy but that’s part of the fun!

We loved spending the afternoon at Alder Lane Beach. We parked a short walk across the street at the metered lot - 15 mins for 25 cents. The dogs loved playing in the water and walking the beach. We brought a blanket and relaxed on the sand. Lots of birds to watch.

We visited Nantahala Outdoor Center with our two doodles. We enjoyed sitting by the river, playing in the shallow water, walking the trails and shopping in the outfitters. Our dogs were welcomed into the Outfitter store and given treats! The staff was so friendly and kind to our pups. We love that they carried our favorite Ruffwear items for dogs. Of course we had to pick up a couple Ruffwear toys for them.

We loved camping at Skidaway Island SP. We stayed on site #50 - it was huge and level with full hookups. The staff was great. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our daily hikes to the observation tower and the Sandpiper and Avian Loops. The dogs loved all the squirrels and deer. Very relaxing vacation with our 2 dogs. One of the best places we’ve camped.

We loved being able to bring our 2 doodles on the private carriage tour. Our guide James was fantastic! Great historical tour of Savannah. We highly recommend.
