No pet area even though advertised

The room was fine and they do allow pets. However what they call a pet area is a strip along the curb about two feet wide and maybe 25 feet long. It is dirt and weeds and was only accessible because no cars were parked in the spaces in front of it. Also put us on the second floor when at booking it said we would get a first floor room. Our dog hates stairs so it was anxiety provoking for him. The desk staff were very nice and made recommendations for parks and restaurants. But still would not stay there again. The desk guy said Bring Fido gets a commission when you book through them so they are willing to stretch the truth about just how dog friendly a place is. Won’t be booking my lodging through Bring Fido anymore.
