Unusual attraction
Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial GraveyardCoon Dog Cemetary is certainly
out of the way, but worth the journey. Some 185 coon dogs are buried in the cemetary. Many have headstones and some have their leashes and collars decorating their tombstone. Reading the headstones tells the love of many of their owners. Pet friendly but pets are supposed to be leashed.

One of a kind
Rattlesnake SaloonRattlesnake Saloon is an experience. A truck taxi takes you down a hill to the tavern which is tucked under a stone roof. They had music and the food is general bar food and was quite tasty. If you want a unique experience then it is worth the drive. They welcomed my dog although they didn’t offer water bowls so you should take your own. What a fun place!

Great park to walk Murphy
Gulf State ParkBeautiful park with many places to walk the dog. Did not use off leash dog park but noticed it had small and large dog space with access to Lake Shelby. There were dogs using the park but we walked on leash. Nice, welcoming area with beautiful
scenery for walk with your dog.

On the Beach
Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach BeachfrontPromote pet friendly but front desk staff seemed bothered I had a pet. I did see dog treats on side table
in lobby but was told pet rules when I arrived. I have a small, hypoallergenic dog with great manners. Pet fee was pricey comparatively speaking. We were given a room near the exit and okay outdoor space for bathroom break with waste bags and can. Room was good but hotel was a bit tired. Except for front desk staff, other staff welcomed my pet.

Great food and atmosphere
GT's on the BayGT’s found us a seat on the outdoor patio which provided a beautiful view of the inlet. The waiter came with a bowl of water with ice when he came with the menu. They had a performer on the patio which was pleasant and the food was very good and plentiful. Great boiled shrimp and low country boil type veggies to accompany the dozen plus boiled shrimp. I had to take a ‘doggie bag’. Price was reasonable. Staff and other guests were very attracted to my dog and he seemed very welcome.

Pet Friendly
Doc’s Seafood and SteaksThe staff at Doc’s was very cooperative and pet friendly. they asked if we needed water for the dog but we brought our own. They gave us a table in the corner so he would have room. As someone else said, the flooring was artificial grass. As for the food, they state ‘best’ and while it was good, it was not my favorite place. It was like a feeding trough or factory fishing out food to me with very little thought given to the experience and it was a little pricier than other restaurants.

Page Springs CellarsNot the friendliest of wineries but dog friendly in outdoor
seating area both in front and out back. Wine was pretty good as were their snacks. Worth the visit.

Great afternoon stop
Javelina Leap Vineyard, Winery & BistroWinery was very pet friendly on the covered patio and yard. There were several dogs there so my dog made new friends. nice place to stop and just be for an afternoon and the wines were good as was their sangria.

Serene Location
Amitabha Stupa and Peace ParkSomeone at a restaurant suggested we visit Amitabha Stupa. We found it in a neighborhood at the base of the red rocks. While there were several
people there it was peaceful. my dog was welcome on his leash and we walked the paths through the park which had numerous places to sit and have a spiritual moment of quiet reflection.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Oklahoma City AirportGreat overnight stay on cross country trip. Great location near restaurants and other shops. Hotel was very pet friendly as was the staff.

Adequate for price
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham RussellvilleRoom was clean and completely adequate. The reason I am only giving it 3 bones was noise. The room above us was very noisy late into the night and the traffic from the interstate was noisy even though the hotel seemed far enough away. Get a room off the interstate side. Breakfast was your average hotel free breakfast. Deborah checked us in and was awesome. Everyone was friendly and accepting of Murphy.

Jewel of a Spot
Cashiers Dog ParkMy dog Murphy and I make frequent visits to Cashiers North Carolina. He loves his daily visits to the Cashiers Dog Park. It is conveniently located near the Boys and Girls Club and Library. There’s a separate fenced area for small dogs separate from large dogs. They keep it well stocked with puppy waste bags. The park also has a short walking path, restrooms, and a playground for children. There is almost always some other dogs there when we visit.

Great trails
Callaway Resort & GardensMy dog, Murphy, and I joined Callaway Gardens so we could
enjoy wonderful walks on their beautiful trails. Most trails are paved with trees, lakes, and beautiful gardens. Dogs must be leashed. we are thoroughly enjoying our walks on their beautiful grounds.

Dog friendly
Colonial WilliamsburgPets aren’t allowed in the buildings but Murphy was welcomed on the streets and lawns. We watched the outdoor events and ate at the Merchant Square. The Saturday morning farmer’s market was full
of 4-legged babies. He seemed to love all the people and scenery.

Quality Inn DandridgeThe fee was reasonable and the staff welcomed Murphy. The rooms had exterior entrances and it was crowded and noisy the evening we were there. The parking lot was well lit and there was a place
to walk Murphy. The room was clean but there was a large hole in the wall. I would consider staying elsewhere if you do not like exterior rooms.

Pet friendly
Best Western Plus Augusta North Inn & SuitesI booked through BringFido and got the best rate possible. Booking was very easy and quick. The hotel staff welcomed Murphy. We asked for and got a second floor room. The room was clean and quiet although Murphy spent much of the evening sniffing out previous visitors. It was a little dated as someone else said. The pet fee was reasonable and there was a nice spot for Murphy to walk. Top Dog Tavern was close by for a pet friendly dinner on the patio.

Perfect afternoon
Brix & Columns VineyardsI was traveling solo with my Havachon, Murphy. The team at Brix and Columns welcomed Murphy and made it easy for me to order a flight. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outside on their lovely patio. Their wine was excellent and I so appreciated how they welcomed Murphy. Thank you for the tip!
