Confused check-in process. There was no paperwork for dogs, so I asked to make sure I had a dog friendly room. They said “yes." Upon checkout I asked for a receipt for the stay and the desk clerk wasn’t able to print one. Went in office and came back shortly saying the pet lodging was outstanding. Fine, I knew it was $70 and hadn’t seen a receipt yet. He ran my charge card and charged $100. I told him there was an error, it should have been $75.

I’m told to wait for the manager, she was on a phone call. She stepped out of her office about 10 minutes later and said that’s the charge and she wasn’t going to change. I got increasingly angry as she she didn’t know what BringFido was, and that their dog rates were on their website. She told me to leave, and when I wouldn’t she called the police.

When they arrived she produced a e-mail she claimed she exchanged with me stating the $100 fee, but she wouldn’t show it to me. I didn’t correspond with her, did BringFido? The amount listed for boarding now lists dog boarding at $100, but I swear it was $70 when I booked. It was embarrassing and frustrating. The General Manager came out with an attitude, and I reciprocated. Was I incorrect about the price for lodging listed on BringFido when booked? I’ve never had such an interaction with a hotel general manager. If I hadn’t asked for a receipt when I checked out to verify the charge they would not have known they failed to charge me for the expected $70 fee.

Pretty tired motel. Temper your expectations, but it’s an inexpensive option, particularly when traveling with dogs. And rooms were clean.
