I arrived to find there was no power and that storms had come through and the area was in a state of emergency. I don’t know why Wyndham took the reservation and why they didn’t contact me.

This hotel had very friendly helpful staff. It seemed to be having some renovation and the hotel information sheet needed updating for things like ice machines. It was very urban and really had no place to walk the dog in the immediate area, however there is a lovely waterfront park just a few blocks away.

Just stopped for an overnight with my pup and this was really a delightful stay. They upgraded our room and the dog loved having extra room to play. Especially nice was the pond out back where we took a morning stroll and saw bald cypress with the cypress knees sticking out of the water. Then a Great Blue Heron swooped down right in front of us. It was quiet and comfortable.

This has become a regular stopping point on our trips south. It is quiet, clean and comfy. There is lots of open space for dog walking and there is a Sheetz for snacks and food and gas.
