Great for dogs, just ok for people

Many acres of riverfront to walk dogs. Grass and shoreline. My dogs had great walks there. The hotel was once a 5 star facility but has not been maintained at that level. It is acceptable, even good if you consider the dogs, but you will be disappointed if you book it at a 5 star hotel price. I could hear people walking in the room above even though they were not noisy people (thin floor covering). Our view of the water was covered with spider webs. Many of the key card locks need maintenance. Desk staff did not want to talk about issues because we had booked with a 3rd party. That said, if you can book a room for a price comparable to the big chains it is still worth the stay because it is great for dogs.
