Red Roof cancelled our reservation without calling me

I would not stay at Red Roof Inn Wilson again. We made a reservation using BringFido early in the morning to stay at the Red Roof Inn Wilson that night. We were traveling and this was a halfway point for our road trip so we arrived very late at night - nearly 11 pm. When we got to the Red Roof Inn the check-in lady was very rude and said that our reservation had been cancelled by them because we had not arrived by 6 pm. No one from Red Roof bothered to call us to ask if we were still coming, they just cancelled it. There also was not anything ever letting us know that if we didn't arrive by 6 pm that it would be cancelled. Not only that, but we had already been charged for the stay!

She was able to get us a room so we could stay the night, but of course it was more expensive than the one we had already paid for. It took hours the next day on the phone calling both Red Roof and BringFido to finally get refunded for one of the charges. Thankfully BringFido was very easy to work with but Red Roof was awful and never even apologized for canceling our reservation.
