Awesome experience, good food, live music, and pampered pets

MudHen Brewing Company

We took our great dane to the MudHen on a summer day. The staff accommodated us with a shaded spot on the patio and brought over a bowl of water with extra ice and a carafe of water to keep refilling his bowl. The staff were excited to see him, and didn’t blink an eye when he laid down a little in the aisle, they just maneuvered around him. The food was excellent with a wide array of choices a great beer and cocktail menu. It is also family friendly with good kid options. There are several free parking options for the restaurants on the surrounding streets which is a nice plus in season.

Easy access, clean room, short stay

Travelodge by Wyndham Winchester

We stopped here when traveling on a 2 day drive. For the cost of the room, this hotel was a good value and it is easily accessed from the highway. Their pet friendly rooms are grouped together on the first floor by a side door where they have a pet walking area, nothing fancy, but it made it easy to get the dogs in and out of the rooms. Also, it made it easy for us to not worry about the dogs freaking anyone out, as we are traveling with our very large Great Dane. The room wasn’t anything special but it had a mini- fridge and microwave, in room coffee, and a simple free continental breakfast so that we could eat before we left. The lack of carpets on the floors also made it so that the dogs could eat and drink without making a mess. It wasn’t a luxury type hotel, but it was clean, easy, and served our purposes well.
