A tail-waggin' good time!

Edelweiss Restaurant

We stopped at Edelweiss for dinner when we were passing through Staunton a couple of days ago. It's convenient to get to off the freeway - just a couple of blocks. We had our pooch in tow, and we got a table outside on the covered front porch. There were, I think, four such tables available, and there were two other parties with dogs as well. They immediately brought ice water in a bowl for our Peanut, and each waitress took some time to fawn over her. Peanut loved the attention! The food was first-rate, and the service was excellent. If you are in Staunton, VA, don't miss this restaurant!

A rare dog-friendly store at the mall

Le Creuset Outlet Store

We went shopping at the outlet mall on our trip to St. Augustine recently. We stopped in with our Peanut at Le Creuset and were welcomed by the two young ladies working there. They were very attentive and had a treat ready for us. It was a very pleasant experience. As we continued our shopping trip, we were surprised that almost no other stores at the outlet mall allowed dogs. That really limited the stores that we went into. So kudos to Le Creuset for opening their hearts and doors to Peanut and her furry brethren, and also for getting some business that day that others did not!

Dog friendly and good food!

The Original Cafe Eleven

We discovered Cafe Eleven when some of the other restaurants in the vicinity were overcrowded. We're glad we did! There were quite a few picnic tables outside to choose from. The server brought out a bowl of water for our pooch, and we were good to go. They had a lot of sandwichy items on the menu, and everything that we ate was tasty. Note that you have to go inside to order at the counter; they don't take your order at the table.

Top marks!

Skaneateles Suites

We have decided that Skaneateles Suites is our new go-to hotel when we are in the area. The individual bungalows are perfect for having a dog, especially one that tends to bark. We never needed to worry about disturbing the neighbors at 2am because little Peanut was hearing noises and reacting. There were several acres of grass in which to run around, and the facilities were cute and cozy. Thanks for a great experience!

Super place!

Hollywood's Restaurant & Bakery

We were traveling through on I-81 with our pooch and took a chance on this restaurant advertised on the blue "food" sign on the freeway. We were glad we did! They had two tables outside for lunch and they weren't too busy then. The menu was very extensive, and the food was delicious. If we are ever traveling through the area again, we will definitely stop by!

Great food and dog-friendly service!

Baba Nahm

We had our pooch in tow as we searched for a lunch spot. We stumbled onto Baba Nahm and gave it a try. The server was very helpful and friendly. He explained the menu options, and he brought us out a bowl of water for the dog. The food was excellent, and we'll definitely go back the next time we're in Asheville.
