Friendly staff and very secure, but it sadly ends there

Dream Midtown Part of Hyatt

The hotel staff is very friendly and care about their doggie guests. It's also safe because you need your key card to get the elevator to bring you to your floor. Unfortunately, although I read a few descriptions regarding room size prior to booking, I thought the size of the room would be small but comfortable. No. I have never stayed in such a tiny room before. My mother and I stayed 3 nights. It was so small she stayed on her side and I stayed on my side of the bed. The queen sized bed is too big for the room (that should tell you something) and is placed in the room at a strange angle. My side was by the window (it had a view of other people's windows) and had to move sideways to get in. I still have a bruise on my shin from repeatedly bashing it into the bed frame. The bed was also so soft it actually dipped downward by your head. When eating we had to share the tiny desk as a table. One of us moved and sat on the chair while the other sat on a side table. We couldn't be in the same area at the same time because there wasn't enough room.

The closet had space for only one of us to use, I kept my luggage packed, sitting on the window ledge, and took things out as needed. My dog had to sit on the bed because there was hardly enough space for us, let alone my doggie. He stayed up there so we didn't trip over him. He ate in the bathroom. The bathroom had a clogged sink, the shower's separation glass was too narrow so water often accumulated on the floor, and they also needed to replace the TV cable to stop its pixelation. We requested our room cleaned two days into our stay. The room attendant, though very sweet, had to be told to change the sheets. We caught her just remaking the bed. Upon our return we noticed the top sheet and two pillows were new but the rest of the bed and pillows were the same ones.I will never stay there again due to the level of discomfort we endured for the money spent.
