Nice Hotel and Location

For context, we stayed Thurs-Friday, so minimal weekend traffic. The hotel was in a great spot that was close to shopping and parks but not close enough to constantly hear the traffic. Check-in was super easy and the room was great. It was upgraded and had everything we needed for staying the night. The room was close to front desk but the in/out traffic was not very noticeable (with a beagle, they only growled a few times through the night). There are plenty of area to walk including an open field and few close by parks. If we return to Madison next year, will definitely consider this hotel as an option.

OK Hotel

Price and location was great but the hotel was far from that. The power went out before check in so we had to wait almost 2hrs to get the room. The room location wasn't too bad but having a dog that reacts to every noise was really tough when the hotel allows any1 to enter/exit through a broken door all night. Fast forward to the morning and the floor was damp and the bathroom sink was clogged and the pipes were leaking all over the bathroom! Upon check out i noticed they had charged me an extra $40 for room. They found the issue had said it should be resolved soon.

Aside from the hotel "experience" the location is great, next time ill stay at another hotel and drive to the lakefront. The walking paths were all over and lead to the small fenced dog park near the lighthouse. The only other issue i had was the overall beach area was not maintained daily. There were numerous dead animals and it looked like it had flooded recently.
