Poor value and no pet friendly rooms available

Quality Inn & Suites at Coos Bay

We booked in advance several days, and arrived to be told there were no dog friendly rooms available. Very disconcerting to have reserved a pet room and none available! That aside, this is a tired old hotel much in need of complete remodeling. The tap water tasted moldy, the microwave didn’t work, the “breakfast” was a bag with a tiny taco and a bottle of water. Most disturbing was that they charged us $882.78 for 3 nights even though we left after 1 night. No warning at all about this. And when I called to ask about this the rude desk person hung up on me. Never staying there again! Having to slink around hiding a pet we had reserved a room for then wasn’t available was not a pleasant experience (even though the check in person told us to make the pup a service animal).
