Back door was really helpful
Ocean Pacific LodgeClean, reasonably quiet, and the room had a back door so I could easily take my dog outside to pee.

Funky and peaceful
Valley View MotelThis place is five small cottages in a row, on a dirt road looking down at Discovery Bay across a scrubby hillside. This is NOT a five-star hotel kind of situation. Our cottage was basic and showed a lot of wear. It was also very comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. There was a friendly, beautiful, and obviously much-loved goat outside. Ditto cat. I could hear chickens somewhere but didn't see them. The windows do not have screens. However, mosquitos did not make an appearance. I kept our dog inside most of the time so she wouldn't harass the goat.

It was fine
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham LynnwoodClean, quiet, comfortable. Easy to take the dog out back to pee. No complaints.

A good night's rest
Comfort Suites Red Bluff Near I-5We had a good night's rest. The place is very dog friendly. The employees were nice. No problems of any kind.
