Never again

We were given a ground floor room. There were no locks or latches of any kind on the windows. Asked at the desk if there was any way to secure the windows, answer was no. Didn’t want to sleep in a room without locking windows and certainly wouldn’t leave my dog along in a room that could be accessed from the outside via a window. Seems like there might be a law that windows should be lockable?
