Reservation was cancelled without notifying us
Holiday Inn Richland on the River an IHG HotelI received a call around 9:50 am the morning of our reservation to confirm we were coming and I told him we were out wouldn't arrive until the evening as we were coming from Seattle. On the way from Seattle, I called again to make sure they held our reservation as we weren't going to make it until 9 pm. I was told, we were fine. We arrived just after 9 pm and were told they had no reservation under our name. With further investigation they told us that our reservation had been cancelled around 9:50 am due to overbooking. The hotel front desk clerk felt horrible and called around and luckily was able to find a hotel with one room left at Best Western in Kennewick (that allowed dogs) -- he saved us from sleeping in our car after driving 3+ hours from Seattle. Horrible customer service to cancel someone after calling to confirm with them and not telling them!!!
