Great Highway Hotel!
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Topeka West KSEasy access off of I-70, typical gas station/fast food options within steps. The staff was very friendly and accommodated a shepherd with no problem. I saw at least 4-5 other traveling dog families there. Clean room, no complaints, plenty of grassy areas to walk around so the pup was happy. There is a side door which seems to serve the "dog wing" so you can duck out for a night walk without going through the lobby (you may have to prop the door open, my keycard didn't work for that side entrance).

Convenient location, good for a night
Red Roof Inn Indianapolis SouthIt's a motel. They didn't bat an eye at my shepherd and there was plenty of grassy area to walk around in. Convenient to not have to go through a lobby, but if your dog is reactive to people walking past the door/window you may lose some sleep. It was clean and no frills, fine for a road trip stop. The fridge was cold enough to freeze (by accident), and microwave/tv/hvac/shower all worked. I'd skip the free coffee though.
