Convenient location

This property hosts lots of dogs now that LQ has a pet fee. They keep it clean and comfortable. They keep the dogs on one end of the hotel so it's not an issue for allergic folks. I found all of the dogs' humans to be very respectful. We didn't have any doggy tussles. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast is good--eggs, sausage, DIY waffles, fruit, bread items, etc. The lobby was small but pleasant with a fire, 24x7 coffee and tea, and a small library of books. The outside pool area looked nice but it was wintertime so we didn't get to use it or really evaluate it.

The hotel looks to be a renovation/update of an older property. The surfaces were refreshed, the beds and furniture are all new, and the tub wrapped but some of the age shows through at the seams. A minor compliment... the pillows were actually decent. So many hotel pillows are terrible but these were still fluffy and fresh. We stayed here both directions of a long trip because they impressed me so much on the first leg. The convenience to the highway, nearby nice restaurants (5 min north), fast food (3min south), and Costco gas station make this location a winner for Wichita.
